Commission a bespoke piece of art:
Commissioning a bespoke piece of art, tailored to your interiors is a way of introducing individuality and exclusivity to your home. Bespoke art can be described as 'the missing piece of the jigsaw' and can transform a room completely or give it the finishing touch that's been missing.
If you have decided to commission a bespoke piece of art, there are some things to discuss to ensure your art is perfect. Please get in touch below with details of the size of the canvas you desire, the style of artwork you desire and lastly the colour palette. Make sure to be as specific as you like as we can discuss any amendments to suit your personal preference.
Size:
If you are unsure of which size is best, I always recommend marking out with masking tape on the wall of choice the different sizes you are torn between, this way you can really visualise how it will fill the space. Make sure to consider if you are looking for one large piece of art or multiple smaller pieces side-by-side. I have included a rough price guide below to give an indication of what to expect for each size canvas. Please note this is just a guide, prices will differ slightly based on reasons listed above and if a non standard size is chosen. If you are requiring a larger size, or one not listed below, please state the size you are interested in on the contact form.
Style:
Please see 'Art Gallery' and quote the name of the artwork you wish to commission. Though each piece will be based around a previous design of mine, when you purchase a bespoke piece of art please bare in mind that there will be some differences to the original shown in the photo, this is to ensure each person is receiving an authentic, bespoke piece that is individual to you. However each piece of art will of course be based around your chosen style and preferences.
Colour Palette:
If you require direct colour matching, it is useful to provide exact paint names/samples/fabric swatches to ensure the art flows beautifully within the room. If you desire the colour palette from the original piece shown in the Art Gallery, please quote 'original colour palette'. If you wish for amendments such as lighter/darker/warmer/cooler/more or less contrasted, please make a note of this. Please provide details of the colour you wish the sides of your canvas to be painted.
Quote:
After discussing the fine details of your piece of art, I will give you a quote which is primarily based on canvas size, design style and colour palette. Some canvas sizes are non-standard and certain colours and mediums are more costly than others and is hence reflected in the quote. This final quote will be the FULL quote including delivery costs.
I require a 10-25% deposit (your preference) on commencement of the commissioning journey and the remaining balance on completion before shipping.
Time Scale:
Currently I aim for your piece of art to be completed within 6-8 weeks following the initial deposit.
I am available via email or instagram DM if you have any queries during the process and I provide regular correspondence to ensure you are up-to-date during your bespoke artwork journey. I will contact you when the piece is complete and send photo's of the artwork to ensure you are happy and any final amendments can be made at this stage prior to shipping. I am more than happy to make some minor adjustments at this stage (within reason!) to ensure you are 100% obsessed with your piece before it is sent out to you. I will contact you if I expect the completion date to be extended. I always aim for completion within the above window, however if I feel the art isn't complete towards the deadline, I will extend the date to ensure it is not rushed and I am 100% happy with the art, and you are 100% happy with the art.
Framing and Hanging:
I am currently in the process of sourcing a framers. Due to this being a lengthy process I do not routinely provide canvas framing, however this is something I am keen to get finalised as soon as I can. At this stage I recommend sourcing your own local framers or if this is a piece of art that you would really like to be delivered to you framed, please do get in touch and I can try to source a framer for your piece, this will be at an additional cost that I will discuss with you.
Unframed canvases will have the sides of the canvas painted in a colour of your choice.
For unframed canvases, they are sent to you with D-ring hanging mechanisms ready for hanging on your wall. It is up to you how you wish to hang your canvas and whether you add additional heavy duty hanging wire or not. Please note, hanging the piece of art is your responsibility to hang it correctly, safely and in the most suitable way for the size/weight of the art on the type of chosen wall. It is NOT my responsibility if the artwork is damaged whilst hanging or as a result of poor hanging.
