Ebony-Fawn 'The Brand':

About me:

Hi! I'm Heidi .. the founder of Ebony-Fawn.

I have always had a passion for interiors, decorating and DIY but this passion most certainly came alive when I moved in to my first home. A new build blank canvas with white everything may be perfect to some .. but for me, I was excited to inject some character in to the home. The decorating process lit a fire inside me and I started creating accents for the home that I adored more than any pieces I had found in high street shops.

The origin of the brand:

The business idea began when I had specific visions for decor pieces and artwork that I wanted in my home but I had no luck finding them in the go-to homeware shops. This is where my mission began to start creating them myself. I sourced old, pre-loved vases and uninspiring, flat canvases and transformed them into neutral, textured pieces that I couldn't wait to style in my home. I soon realised just how much I loved the process and the sense of achievement for the end result. And so here we are now - bringing a passion to life one piece at a time.

The aim of the up-cycled pottery is to give old pieces a new lease of life and introduce recycling into the homeware industry. The papier maché bowls and artwork are hand-crafted. Each piece is entirely individual and unique.

About the brand name:

Ebony-Fawn was a name that when I spoke it out loud for the first time, it just felt right. I brainstormed brand names for what felt like an eternity and so decided to take things back to basics. The brand aesthetic and colour palette are based around neutral tones and textures, predominantly beige, brown, cream and black ... 'Ebony' and 'Fawn' are simply elegant synonyms for black and beige, and the two words just flowed beautifully together.

I hope this has given a little insight into Ebony-Fawn and how the brand began. Thank you for reading and your support never goes unnoticed - I am forever grateful!
