Ebony-Fawn 'The Brand':

About me:

Hi there! I'm Heidi - the founder of Ebony-Fawn. Here I aim to give a little insight into the origin of Ebony-Fawn and a bit about me.

I have always had a passion for interiors, decorating and DIY but this passion most certainly came alive when my partner & I bought our first house. Let me tell you - a new build with blank EVERYTHING was bloomin exciting for me, I was like a kid in a sweet shop, eager to design everywhere. The decorating process lit a fire inside me and made me realise just how much I adore everything to do with interiors!

The origin of the brand:

The business idea began when I had specific visions for decor pieces and artwork that I wanted in my home but no matter how long I searched, I could never find what I had pictured in my mind. This is where the mission began to just make them myself. The stars of the show are up-cycled vases and textured art. Old, pre-loved vases and boring, flat canvases were transformed into on-trend pieces that I couldn't wait to put up around the house! I soon realised just how much I loved the process and the sense of achievement for the end result. And so here we are now - bringing a passion to life.

My ultimate aim with the brand is to give old pieces a new lease of life and incorporate recycling into the homeware industry. Each vase will be completely unique and individual, recycled from tired, worn pieces into neutral, textured gems! Each canvas will be hand-painted and the original textured piece, created by me.

About the brand name:

Ebony-Fawn was one of those names that when I spoke it out loud for the first time it just felt right. For a while I was brainstorming brand names and then decided to take things back to basics. My brand image and the majority of the products are based around neutral tones and textures, predominantly blacks and beiges... 'Ebony' and 'Fawn' are quite simply some snazzy synonyms for black and beige, and the two words flowed beautifully together! That's about all there is behind the brand name!

I hope this has given a little peek into the brand itself. Thank you for reading!
